2014 Recipient

2020 Update:

It has now been 6 years since I graduated from Mascoutah and man does time fly! In May of 2020, amid the craziness of the Coronavirus outbreak, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Health Management and Policy from Saint Louis University. During the summer of 2019, I was the Administrative Intern at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois. I got to work alongside the President, Dave Braasch, which helped solidify my decision to pursue a career within the healthcare field and is where I discovered my passion for helping others. This has been the quickest two years of my life. In addition to going to school, I also decided to follow my dreams and began coaching the JV Cheerleading squad at Mascoutah in the fall of 2018. After two years, I am so proud to announce I am now the Head Cheerleading Coach at MHS! Cheerleading has always been more than a sport to me, its truly a passion of mine and I am so glad I am able to give back to a community that gave so much to me! As far as a career goes, I am still on the hunt for a full-time position, but I am enjoying this time off to spend with family, friends, and athletes. I hope everyone is staying happy, healthy, and safe.

2018 Update:

Wow does 4 years go by quick! This spring I graduated with my Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Environmental Health from Illinois State University. During my time at ISU I was a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, and the sorority Alpha Gamma Delta. While in Apha Gam I had the pleasure of holding a leadership position for two years as the purchasing coordinator which taught me a lot about persistence and time/money management. I am definitely going to miss seeing my friends and sorority sisters everyday, but i can’t wait for my next adventure. After Graduation, I decided I couldn’t stay away from home any longer so this summer I moved back to Mascoutah since this fall I will be attending Saint Louis University to obtain my Masters in Health Management and Policy. I’m so excited for this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes me. Cheers!

2017 Update:

This fall I will be entering my senior year at Illinois State University and plan to graduate in the spring of 2018 with a Business Administration degree. I then plan to go on to receive a masters degree in Health Care Management at St. Louis University or Webster University. While at ISU I enjoy the sisterhood of my amazing sorority sisters in Alpha Gamma Delta, I also work early mornings at the campus coffee shop.
During the summers I spend my time lifeguarding and managing at the Mascoutah City pool, this summer marks my 6th year as a lifeguard for Mascoutah.
I want to thank the MCHS Alumni Golf Scholarship committee for the scholarship award I received upon graduating MCHS class of 2014.
I have had a great college experience so far and wish all of the other scholarship recipients the best of luck!
