It’s been four years since I graduated from Mascoutah High School and was eagerly and anxiously preparing for college. I have gained so much confidence and worldly experience since then, but in some ways I relate more with myself from four years ago as once again I am preparing to apply to schools, but this time for grad school to further my education to be a Physician Assistant. I will be graduating in May 2025 from Saint Louis University with a major in Health Sciences and a minor in Biology. My favorite experience from college was the opportunity to study abroad the summer after my sophomore year. I lived and studied in Madrid and traveled to Portugal, France, and Morocco. In college I have enjoyed the opportunities to grow in leadership and mentor others in my involvement in multiple different organizations and as a Teaching Assistant in my program. After graduating in May I am taking a gap year as I apply to PA school and will be working as a Medical Assistant. I have worked as a Medical Assistant part time throughout senior year and have loved the experience I have gained in the healthcare field. I have only grown in my love for providing compassionate care for patients since graduating high school and look forward to my future as I continue to further my education.
