2018 Update:
This fall, I will be entering my sophomore year at Southeast Missouri State University where I am pursuing a major in Interior Design. Last year, I joined my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, which has given me so many opportunities to give back to the community. Also, Alpha Xi has given me a place that I get to call a home away from home. Throughout my freshman year, I was successful with my studies and I always pushed myself to do the best I could in the classroom. All of my hard work paid off when I was honored with getting named to the Dean’s list. It’s crazy to think how fast time flew during my freshman year but I am so excited to get back to Cape Girardeau! I always think it’s good idea to remember where my roots are and thank the people who helped form who I am today. Therefore, I thank you, Mascoutah Alumni and Friends, because without the gift of your scholarship, I wouldn’t be where I am. Once an Indian, always an Indian.
