Bob is the founder and main principal of The Spurlock Group, a mergers and acquisitions company started December 1999 in Dallas, TX. With over 20 years of providing business, financial and marketing solutions, he brings a tremendous amount of hands on experience to his clients. Prior to starting The Spurlock Group, he was with Dun & Bradstreet, the worldwide leader of business information. Former clients include The Container Store, Austin Industries, Club Corporation of America, The Dallas Mavericks, EDS Corporation and Southern Methodist University. He has provided consulting services to thousands of publicly and privately held businesses and individuals in the United States. Residing in the Dallas, TX area, he is married to a former Marine/Highland, IL girl and still likes to golf, hit the beach and search for the best margaritas.
Robert Cearnal
Mr. Robert Cearnal (also known as “Mr. C” to his students) came to Mascoutah Community High School in 1968, following six years at Marissa High School. He was hired as an English teacher and junior varsity basketball coach. He was also asked to start up a golf program, which he did with much success, his team’s winning conference numerous times and qualifying several of its players for state competition. In the classroom Mr. C was known for his ability to bond with his students, as he entertained them in his inimitable style in Studies in Humor and Detective Fiction classes. He retired from MCHS in 2000, and he now enjoys traveling with his wife, playing golf several times a week, and singing in barbershop quartets and choruses.
Deb Anstedt-Hoerchler – Class of ‘80

Deb worked for 25 years at one of Mascoutah’s local banks and recently decided to make a change. She now works for The Kilian Corporation, also located in Mascoutah, as a contract administrator. Her twin sons are attending SIUE in Edwardsville, IL and they are planning to major in Mechanical Engineering. Deb enjoys golfing, traveling and an occasion trip down memory road! Life has been very good.
Bonnie (Norrenberns) Hightower – Class of ‘79

Bonnie is a Mascoutah native and graduate of Mascoutah Community High School. She also attended and graduated in 1983 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Bonnie is married to Dennis Hightower (Class of ’76), and resides in Mascoutah with their four children (Rachel, John, Jeff and Reagan). Since 1993 they have owned and operated Lettermen’s Custom Embroidery, in downtown Mascoutah. Bonnie and Dennis are active and very proud of the community of Mascoutah, IL.
