2015 Recipient

2023 Update:

I have recently changed jobs moving from the audit side to the tax side of accounting where I work with small businesses and individuals on tax planning and preparation. In October 2021, my wife, Lauren, and I got married and bought a house in northern Indiana near my new job. I’ve been helping coach the local high school baseball team where we went 22-1 in the regular season and we’re ranked #1 in the state of Indiana for the season.

2020 Update:

I graduated from Quincy University with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and a Master’s in Business Administration while working as a Graduate Assistant baseball coach. Currently I am studying for the CPA exam. I will be moving to Indianapolis this fall as I have accepted a position in the Assurance department at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Thank you to everyone who helps with the tournament to make it a great event!

2018 Update:

I just finished my sophomore year at St Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana where I majored in accounting. Due to financial problems the school discontinued operations and I am now transferring to Quincy University this fall to start my junior year. I was on the Dean’s List the last two years with a cumulative GPA of 3.97. I was the secretary of both the Accounting Club and Investment Club this past year at St Joe. I was also the starting catcher for the baseball team, helping my team make a regional appearance for the first time in five years and the final time school history. I set the school record for home runs in a season with 18. I am currently playing summer baseball for a team in Larfafette, Indiana, called the Lafayette Aviators. I want to thank Mr. Bob Spurlock, Mr. Bob Cearnal, my mom, Bonnie, and the volunteers that continue to make this scholarship successful.
